Last Tool Standing
An open list of which tools are still in use here, which ones were cut, and the single reason behind each call. Nothing here is gated and nothing is sponsored. Negative verdicts get published the same as the positive ones.
Every verdict is either Still Standing or Cut, and the Cut ones publish too.
The job
Tell me what to fix next on a site almost nobody has found yet.
- OpenSEOStill Standing
It answers the only question the site has right now, which is what to fix next.
- SemrushCut
Tried on the free tier and put down on price. This is not a performance verdict.
How the call was made
01. What is the job
Tell me what to fix next. Not "give me the best keyword intelligence available", which is a different and more expensive job.
02. Can it do that job
Yes. Search Console numbers below.
03. What does it touch that is hard to undo
Nothing. It reads and reports. No write access to the site.
04. What would have to be true for the challenger to take the slot
Enough search volume that the difference between good keyword data and excellent keyword data changes a decision. Not close yet.
| Site | July impressions | Aug 1 to 27 | Clicks |
|---|---|---|---|
| charmthirteen.com | 51 | 81 | 1 to 2 |
| orinyx.io | 76 | 131 | 3 to 5 |
Google Search Console, 1 July to 27 August 2026. August is 27 days against July's 31, so the doubling is on daily rate. Last verified 31 August 2026.
Both roughly doubled on a daily rate. One hundred and thirty-one impressions is also not an audience, it is a rounding error with a trend line on it. That is the whole reason the expensive tool does not take the slot. The constraint here is publishing volume, not data quality.
OpenSEO's Google Analytics connection reports not-connected for both properties, so real traffic numbers live elsewhere. Search Console, the source of every figure above, works fine.
